Admiralty Shipyards (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) held a flag raising ceremony and handover of the new multipurpose large submarine Mozhaisk to the Russian Navy.
"Mozhaisk" is the fifth submarine from the series of the modernized project built by "Admiralty Shipyards" for the Pacific Fleet. It was laid down in August 2021 with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. In April this year - launched. "Admiralty Shipyards" continues the construction of the sixth submarine of the series "Yakutsk".
The ceremony was attended by Admiral Nikolay Yevmenov, Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Vladimir Korolev, Advisor to the Director General of USC JSC, Vladimir Korolev, Director General of USC JSC Vladimir Korolev, Director General of Admiralty Shipyards JSC Andrey Veselov and Deputy Head of the Administration of Mozhaisky City District Maria Azarenkova, as well as representatives of the Navy's main command, workers who built the submarine, the crew itself and family members of the servicemen.
By the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy the submarine "Mozhaisk" was enlisted in the Primorsky Flotilla of heterogeneous forces of the Pacific Fleet. It became the fifth ship of the series designed to strengthen the country's defense capability in the Far East. The submarine is equipped with modern torpedo and missile weapons, which have successfully proved their effectiveness in combat conditions.
