The Russian Ministry of Defense may receive the first ten universal crewless boats based on the Vizir-type platform manufactured by the Kingisepp Machine Building Plant production holding by the end of the year. This will be the first pilot batch, it may be tested in the special operation zone.
"We call it a disposable boat. It is shallow-sitting, flat, with a minimum height above the water surface for low visibility," said Mikhail Danilenko, managing director of KMZ.
The uncrewed boats can accelerate up to 80 km/h, carry explosives weighing up to 600 kg and cover more than 200 km. The boats will be able to carry not only TNT, but also special cargo or escort and reconnaissance equipment. The vehicles will also be able to work as a platform for an aerial drone or anti-drone.
